It’s crunch time for Jamie and her IDEC Sport team-mates this weekend, with everything on the line at 4 Hours of Portimão.
Jamie and her car No.18 team-mates are just six points off top spot in the LMP2 standings heading into the European Le Mans Series 2025 finale.
Rivals VDS Panis Racing are currently leading the way, but a strong performance in Portugal offers the distinct possibility of closing that gap.
We’re set for plenty of excitement in the Algarve, then, with all eyes on this captivating title tussle.

Race recap

Round 7 of the campaign resulted in a memorable home race for Jamie, as IDEC Sport’s car No.18 secured an outright triumph at 4 Hours of Silverstone.
Things didn’t get off to the best of starts following a P11 finish in LMP2 Qualifying, but Jamie, Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Juncadella masterminded a climb to first place by the third hour of a rain-soaked event.
An early switch of tyres proved to be a crucial moment in worsening conditions, before the race ultimately ended eight minutes early thanks to the constant downpour.
A final P1 placing meant IDEC Sport added 25 points to their tally while, crucially, VDS Panis Racing’s car No.48 could only finish eighth.
That narrowed the gap at the LMP2 summit, to set up the tantalising finale we’re about to witness in Portimão.

Track guide

The Algarve International Circuit briefly featured on the Formula 1 calendar, when it hosted the Portuguese Grand Prix from 2020-2021.
But that’s just one of a wide range of events that have taken place in Portimão since the track’s opening in October 2008.
From the TCR Europe Touring Car Series to the Portuguese Motorcycle Grand Prix — and 4 Hours of Portimão, of course — this circuit continues to host elite motorsport on a regular basis.
Bearing a resemblance to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, expect constant undulation and significant downhill slopes this weekend, at a rollercoaster of a venue.
There are also overtaking opportunities aplenty, thanks to one of the widest tracks that Jamie will race on this season.

Minassian's thoughts

“It’s already the last race and the intensity remains as high as ever,” said IDEC Sport Team Principal Nicolas Minassian, when looking ahead to 4 Hours of Portimão.
“The whole team is motivated and united, and the drivers are eager to get back behind the wheel on this magnificent circuit.
“Despite the ups and downs of the season, the No.18 car is still in contention for the championship, and the No.28 car is coming off two strong fourth-place finishes.
“We’re heading to Portimão with the same fighting spirit we’ve had all season, in attack mode with the goal of making as few mistakes as possible on the track and in the pits.”
