Jamie is enjoying a successful season so far, having already claimed two LMP2 triumphs in the 2025 European Le Mans Series (ELMS).
There’s hopefully plenty more to come from our IDEC Sport racer, too, with another four ELMS events on the horizon — taking her to Imola, Spa, Silverstone and Portimão, from July through to October.
But what about the 27-year-old’s life away from the track?
Well, we got an insight into some of Jamie’s preferences and passions, when she sat down for an interview with Country Life a little earlier this year. Here are some of the highlights…
Food and drink
“Apart from proper Mexican in Mexico City, it’s got to be from a restaurant called Peshwari in Chennai, India,” said Jamie, when asked about the most memorable meal she’s ever experienced.
“I absolutely adore Indian food and I got to try so many different things that I’d never tried before — and I still remember the taste of the food and it was a long time ago.”
But the Bath native’s tastes are somewhat more simple when it comes to the first thing on her mind each morning:
“It’s a small thing — a cup of tea, wherever I am in the world,” she said. “That’s what sets me up for my day.”
And food came up again when Jamie was quizzed on her favourite hotel:
“The Prince Maurice on Mauritius,” she revealed. “I’ve been a few times — and I would go there every year if I could.
“Amazing people, amazing food. I love golf and it’s got an incredible course too.”
Collections and purchases
“I collect watches, although it’s a small collection,” Jamie explained, as she offered an insight into what makes her tick when she’s not racing.
“I was lucky enough to join the Rolex family as an ambassador about three or four years ago, so I now know lots about the brand and about watches.
“I have a couple of Daytona models, but I would love to add a vintage Daytona into the mix.”
More broadly, the Atlassian Williams Racing ambassador’s purchases are often based around her passion for travel — like the last thing she had bought herself back in March:
“[I recently bought] A Leica camera,” she said.
“I always want to capture more moments because I go to a lot of places and do a lot of cool things in my life. My favourite place to travel to is South East Asia.”
Inspiration and the arts
Jamie gets inspired by everything from books and art to podcasts and music — and an example of that is ‘Open’, written by former tennis player Andre Agassi:
“It’s a hugely inspiring book,” she said. “As a sportsperson I took a huge amount of it, from the on court battles, to the bits away from the actual sport — the things he went through and his struggles.
“He talks a lot about his mental health battles — the pressure, how he hated the sport.
“I wouldn’t say I hate my sport, but there are times when it feels like it’s the worst sport in the world, and there’s other times when it’s great.
“Being able to relate to that [part of the book] was really cool.”
