Jamie finished the Music City Grand Prix in P17, after contact with Jack William Miller saw her drop out of the race on Lap 52.
It was a frustrating outcome for the Andretti Global driver, after putting in commendable performances in both practice sessions and Qualifying.
Practices 1 and 2 yielded P5 and P6 placings, respectively, before Jamie qualified in P6 to claim a solid starting position for the weekend’s main event.
She began strongly at the Nashville Superspeedway, too, enjoying a clean start and maintaining her P6 position in the race’s opening laps.
An exciting multi-lap battle with the likes of Christian Brooks, Bryce Aron and Jonathan Browne followed midway through proceedings, before things took a turn for the worse with 14 laps remaining.
With Jamie on the lowside, Miller — at that stage a lap down — cut up, which broke the English driver’s steering and forced her to pull into the infield.
That early exit resulted in a P17 finish and 13 more points on the board, taking the 26-year-old’s total to 310 for the campaign.
Sunday’s outcome saw Jamie end the 2024 Indy NXT season in a credible seventh place, having enjoyed seven top-ten finishes, three top-five placings and a triumphant stint at Road America back in June.
Reflecting on her time in Tennessee — and the campaign as a whole — Jamie said:
“It was a bit of a disappointing way to end what I think has been a positive year.
“But, all in all, when reflecting on the season I think we can be really happy with a lot that we’ve achieved.
“There are a lot of results that got away from us that I’d like to have taken to the flag, but even so I think we can be very proud of how far we’ve come.
“Now it’s a case of looking forward to what’s next, with the immediate thing being the INDYCAR test in two weeks, which I’m super excited about.
“I’m going to be preparing very hard for that, but in the meantime I’m just very grateful to the team and everything they’ve done throughout the year.”
