Jamie Chadwick’s groundbreaking female karting initiative, The Jamie Chadwick Series, has today announced the launch of the UK’s first-ever all-female, outdoor, junior karting series aimed at 8–15-year-old.
The junior series will run concurrently with the existing award-nominated dual category series from February to December 2025 over nine rounds at Daytona tracks across the country.
Participants will be able to experience racing in karts tailored to two specific age groups - Cadets (8-11) a Juniors (12-15) - whilst also receiving mentorship from Chadwick and enrollment in Race School, to ensure they have all the skills and knowledge needed to get the most out of the series. The winners will receive support and personal mentorship from Chadwick for the following year of their racing careers.
β€œAfter a remarkable 2024 for The Jamie Chadwick Series, I am really excited to announce this expansion of the initiative. The standard of karting last year blew me away, and the level of interest was far above what we expected.
"I wish I had something like this when I started out in racing and I’m really excited to see us take the series to the next level,” said Jamie.
β€œI’m on the look out for the brightest young female racing talent in the country and that means ensuring we’re providing opportunities amongst the 8-15 age group.
"By introducing the junior category we are now creating a clear progression for young girls coming into the sport for the first time and enabling a community likeminded racer to come together in a supportive environment where they can thrive. 2025 is going to be an exciting year for the series and I’m looking forward to seeing what the girls can do on track!”
The announcement comes off the back of an incredibly successful inaugural year for The Jamie Chadwick Series, which saw dramatic uplifts in female participation across Daytona karting tracks nationwide. The initiative has seen a 1900% increase in female competitive racing, a 400% increase in casual participation, a 700% increase in endurance racing entries and a 200% uplift in girls trying out karting for the first time. T series is now also the UK's biggest all female karting initiative, reaching over 450 girls across its inaugural season.
From a competitive dual category all-female karting series, to race school events allowing girls to try karting for free for the first time, to mentorship experiences with Jamie, the initiative aims to tackle several of t systemic issues that currently act as stumbling blocks to young girls participating in the sport. Throughout the season, each event has strived to create a supportive environment to try the sport, provide opportunities to race and give guidance to the girls from Jamie herself.
